Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line is seeking a Host-Busser in Dawson City, Yukon, to support dining room operations in a Seasonal - Part Time capacity. The role focuses on welcoming guests, seating them, bussing tables, and maintaining clean, sanitized restaurant areas throughout the day.

You will work with the Dining Room Supervisor to ensure smooth flow, keep seating charts accurate, and assist with general front-of-house tasks.

Qualifications

• Provide a positive guest experience with professional appearance.
• Assist with seating and dining room flow.
• Maintain seating chart accuracy and cleanliness.
• Lift up to 50 lbs./23 kg as required.
• Eligible to work in Canada; pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests according to proper server rotation guidelines.
• Maintain seating chart with accuracy and frequency.
• Keep tables clean, sanitized, and ready for new guests.
• Move dirty dishes and glasses to proper locations.
• Help maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Communicate with front-of-house staff about table status and needs.

Dining Room Hosts provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests entering the restaurant. Hosts will facilitate Waithelp staff needs when it comes to welcoming guests, seating them, bussing tables, and ensuring restaurant areas are clean, sanitized, and reset throughout the day. Provide reliability, dependability, and a positive attitude in a high-energy environment. Live a summer of adventure and memories, both creating your own and for others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Employee Housing is not available.**

REQUIREMENTS

• BARS Training/Certification is an asset.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
