Princess Cruises and Holland America Line is seeking a Dish Steward in Dawson City to support the Food and Beverage department. You will operate dish machine equipment, handle delicate kitchenware, and maintain elevated cleanliness and safety standards for a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes reliability, a positive attitude, and teamwork while contributing to a safe, enjoyable experience for guests and staff over a vibrant summer season.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Flexibility to work seasonal shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, dry, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment per Company standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, chemicals, and linens.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in work and storage spaces.
• Assist with stocking the kitchen and organizing products.
• Complete sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with direction from management.
• Contribute to a positive employee and guest experience with professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean, wash, dry, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment per Company standards and specifications in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
• Assist with stocking the kitchen and organizing products.
• Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.
• Contribute effectively to a positive employee and guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23 kg.
• Must have or be able to obtain Canadian Food Handlers Certification.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
