Princess Cruises and Holland America Line seeks a Host in Dining Room/Housekeeping for the Holland America Dawson City Inn in the Yukon. This seasonal, part-time role blends housekeeping with attentive dining service, ensuring rooms are spotless and guests receive memorable experiences.

You will collaborate with Supervisors and team members, handle guest inquiries, and support health and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure all assigned rooms and/or areas are clean and sanitized by the end of the shift.
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members for updates, requests or concerns.
• Maintain organization for housekeeping storage areas, free from clutter and cross-contamination.
• Complete regular projects and deep-cleaning.
• Interact with guests, providing local information and creating memorable moments.

Employees go from assisting in the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all our visitors have a pristine home-away-from-home, onto delivering exceptional dining experiences within this shared position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all assigned rooms and/or areas are clean and sanitized by the end of the shift.
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members for service or technical updates, requests, or concerns.
• Maintain organization for all housekeeping storage areas, ensuring they are clean of clutter and free from cross-contamination.
• Complete regular projects and deep-cleaning.
• Interact and communicate with guests, providing property-specific and local information, answering questions, and communicating concerns to the supervisor while creating memorable moments for our guests.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age of 19 years is required to serve alcohol in the Yukon.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 19 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs/23 kgs.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
