Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a Red Seal/ journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician to inspect, service and repair a diverse fleet of construction equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs and document inspections and maintenance on-site and in the shop.

Qualifications

• Red Seal/Journeyperson license or registered apprenticeship required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment in shop and on jobsites.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs; test equipment for proper performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders.
• Contribute to a safe, clean shop and yard by following company policies and safety rules.

You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.Must have own tools.Available and willing to work over-time as needed.Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a strong focus on following procedures and promoting a safe work environment.Eagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technologyPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
