Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus four (4) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with others effectively and collaboratively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform staff scheduling and timekeeping duties for designated units and programs, including preparing, adjusting and posting staff rotations from the master rotation.
• Review the master rotation and flow sheets, and allocate and call in relief nursing and non-nursing staff using an electronic system to fill vacancies, gaps, staff shortages, leaves of absence and sick leaves in accordance with applicable collective agreement.
• Ensure that staff with relevant skills are scheduled and available. Receive and process vacation and other staff requests, and respond to inquiries from staff and managers regarding vacation accumulations and related requests.
