About the Opportunity

The Health Support Aide has an important role within the health care team and supports daily routines of care and activities of daily living for patients/clients. The role may include providing basic care, specimen collection, and other support functions under the guidance of licensed health care professionals.

About You
  • Grade 12
  • Any previous related experience or related education would be an asset
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures an asset
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention
  • Relevant first aid or first responder training (e.g., St. John Ambulance, HS lifeguard certificate) an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients/clients, hospital staff, the public, and referral sources
  • Competencies in other languages an asset

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-Time / 100% / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$20.74 - $22.87 per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan. Market adjustments may apply periodically.
