Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our care team in a facility-based role in Canada. Under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, you will provide fundamental care and support to residents, adhering to the care plans and safety protocols.

The position requires English fluency, completion of a PCA/HCA certificate, and active CLHA registration. Prior experience in continuing care is preferred, with opportunities for growth and a supportive, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
• Active registration with the CLHA as Health Care Aide in Alberta is required.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents per care plan.
• Assist with transfers and mobility using Lifts and PPE.
• Assist with feeding and meal times as per care plan.
• Provide routine treatments and care under supervision of a Staff Nurse.
• Escort residents to activities and dining rooms.
• Accompany residents to social and therapy functions within the facility.
