AgeCare Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our care team. The role includes assisting with bathing, transfers, feeding, routine treatments, and mobility for residents under the supervision of a Staff Nurse.

We value compassion, reliability, and teamwork. Applicants should have PCA/HCA training, CLHA registration, and English fluency. This is a by-care-setting position with opportunities for growth and meaningful resident interaction.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Completion of a recognized PCA/HCA 2002 or greater certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents per care plan.
• Assist with transfers using lifts and transfer belts.
• Feed and assist with meals and snacks.
• Provide routine skin care, bowel protocols, and other care per Staff Nurse directions.
• Help residents travel within the facility and assist with dining room transitions.
• Assist with mobility using walkers, wheelchairs, and positioning chairs.
• Escort residents to beauty parlor, physiotherapy, and recreation activities.
• Accompany residents to social and therapy functions within the facility.
