Job summary

AgeCare in Canada is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our care team. Under supervision of a Staff Nurse, you will assist residents with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and personal care to support comfort and safety.

The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care across our communities. Requirements include English fluency, PCA/HCA certificate, and active CLHA registration. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• PCA/HCA certificate or equivalent education is required or asset.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents to promote comfort and well-being with controlled water temperature.
• Assist with resident transfers in and out of bed and wheelchair using appropriate lifts and PPE.
• Assist with feeding and meals according to care plans.
• Provide routine treatments and care procedures under staff nurse direction.
• Assist residents with mobility and movement around the facility and to dining areas.
• Support residents to participate in activities and social/therapy functions.
