Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our dedicated care team in Alberta. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, coordinating with nursing staff, and supporting mobility and personal care within established protocols.

The successful candidate will have a PCA/HCA certificate, CLHA registration, and at least one year of continuing care experience. We offer a supportive culture, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in continuing care or related environment.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Completion of a recognized PCA/HCA certificate or equivalent education.
• Active registration with the CLHA.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents per care plan and safety guidelines.
• Assist with transfers using appropriate equipment and PPE.
• Assist with feeding and meal times per dietary plan.
• Provide routine treatments and basic care under supervision of a Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents with mobility and movement within the facility.
• Support residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Accompany residents to therapy or social activities inside the facility.
