Job summary

TD is seeking an AVP/Head of Agentic Software Development to lead the AI-enabled software engineering capability across Canada and the U.S. You will set visions, roadmaps and standards for enterprise AI platforms, ensuring durable services and scalable delivery across CIO portfolios.

Responsibilities include managing investment portfolios, defining governance, and driving measurable business outcomes with strong executive leadership and risk oversight.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline; advanced degree is an asset.
• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience including enterprise engineering and large-scale delivery.
• Proven authority to establish enterprise standards, governance and architecture direction.
• Experience in PDLC/SDLC, modern software engineering, DevSecOps and cloud platforms.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with portfolio planning and vendor management.
• Executive-level communication and influence with CIO/CTO and risk leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise Test Data Management capability, platform strategy and regulatory alignment.
• Own enterprise Quality Engineering tooling strategy and measurement of software quality improvements.
• Own enterprise design tooling capability supporting product design and collaboration.
• Manage enterprise investment portfolio including planning, funding allocation and benefits realization.
• Make cross-portfolio decisions balancing cost, speed, quality, security and risk.
• Lead a multidisciplinary organization spanning engineering, product, data, cybersecurity and risk.
• Represent the enterprise capability in governance forums and report on investment and outcomes.
