Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe delivery of care for patients undergoing haematology treatment.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and deputise for the Ward Manager.
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement activities.
  • Administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and blood products.
  • Promote patient-centred care and ensure safe documentation.

Skills

Post-registration experience in Oncology and/or Haematology
Competency in stem cell return and blood transfusion
Strong organisational skills and high clinical standards
Proficiency in phlebotomy, cannulation, and intravenous cytotoxic drug administration
Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental education

Education

Completion of ENB 237/998 or equivalent
