Job summary

A community support organization seeks an enthusiastic Goal Support Worker for casual positions in Mississauga. You will support youth with disabilities in developing independent living skills while providing mentorship and administrative assistance. 2 Casual Positions from June 22, 2026 to July 24, 2026
Mississauga Site
Hours: M-F 8:30-4:30 except during ILP where hours will vary
Work Arrangement: Community/Onsite
New Position
Compensation Range: $17.60/hour

Position Summary

You will work 37.5 hours per week in the role of Goal Support Worker supporting the Independent Living Program (ILP). In this position, you will be a peer mentor to youth with disabilities who are developing independent living skills. You will assist participants to problem solve, develop strategies and help them achieve their own personal goals for independent living. In addition, you will also provide some administrative support for summer programs and assist the ILP Coordinator when needed. Only past ILP participants can apply for this position.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Must be self-directed and demonstrate leadership capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work experience in a similar role or related field will be considered an asset
  • Must be flexible with hours/days
  • Must be flexible to location of program
