Job summary

K-Line Group in Markham, Ontario, seeks a Project Manager to oversee international EPC-type high voltage substations and powerline transmission projects. You will direct scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety while coordinating with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Vice President – International & Projects, you will manage contracts, vendor relations, risk and compliance, and travel internationally as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ project management experience in construction/utilities.
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management or Engineering Technologies is desired.
• Professional PM designation or progress towards one is an asset.
• High voltage industry experience with substations/transmission lines is preferred.
• Able to manage EPC-like projects and contracts; strong coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations to plan, execute and control project activities (engineering, procurement, scheduling, reports, material tracking, invoicing, construction).
• Plan timelines and milestones; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Manage vendor/supplier relationships; negotiate contracts for cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, construction managers, project engineers and owners.
• Ensure financial management, health & safety compliance, and timely invoicing.
• Track milestones, revenue recognition and receivables; analyze profitability and margins.
• Frequent international travel as required.
