Job summary

Stantec’s Western Canadian Power Delivery team is inviting skilled Project Engineers to contribute to HV/EHV AC and DC substation projects across North America. This role supports project managers to control scope, schedule and budget while coordinating a multi-disciplinary design team.

You will develop design plans, review vendor drawings, manage technical risks, and ensure timely delivery during construction, fabrication and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience leading multi-discipline design teams on large projects.
• Willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, and cost with Project Managers.
• Identify and manage project technical risks.
• Act as project technical lead with internal teams, clients, and third parties.
• Coordinate development of design documents, specs, drawings, reports.
• Develop plans, schedules, and resource planning for engineering activities in ID/Definition/Implementation phases.
• Oversee vendor drawings reviews and QA.
• Support construction, procurement, testing and commissioning phases.
• Assist in preparing proposals, project plans, estimates.
• Follow QA/QC procedures to deliver high quality engineering services.
• Conduct site visits to verify installations.
