Job summary

GHD is seeking a High Voltage Engineering Lead or Technical Director to drive delivery of energy projects in Canada, focusing on transmission & distribution, substations, and grid optimization. You will mentor teams, shape design strategy, and lead client engagements across Ontario and the US, with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive experience in electrical design for HV/MV substations (600V and below knowledge asset).
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams and project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-voltage electrical design projects for energy clients in Canada.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across design, procurement, and construction.
• Manage client relationships and pursue new business opportunities with major utilities.
