Your Role
As IT Manager at Mecademic, you will be a strategic partner and technical expert at the heart of our operations. Your role is to structure, define policies, and ensure the long‑term reliability of our IT environment to support the growth and expansion of our company.
Your Main Responsibilities
IT governance, structuring, and security:
- Define, establish, and maintain architectures, procedures, and technical documentation for all systems, ensuring their consistency and scalability in a context of strong growth.
- Establish the strategic vision and roadmap for IT investments, and manage the annual budget to support the company's expansion.
- Establish, deploy, and enforce IT security and data protection policies, including threat prevention (identification of vulnerabilities and intrusion risks).
- Oversee backup management (verification, restoration tests, disaster recovery plan) to ensure service continuity and data recovery in the event of an incident.
- Formalize and deliver training to teams on cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to understand their needs and guide technological development.
Operations and infrastructure management:
- Develop, configure, and maintain IT systems: Active Directory, DNS, licenses, Wi‑Fi, VPN, etc.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer workstations in operational condition.
- Provide technical support by managing incidents and troubleshooting user issues (hardware, applications, etc.).
- Maintain intranet and cloud services.
- Create and maintain automation scripts to optimize processes.
- Maintain and support the telephone system (PXB).
- Manage databases.
This position occasionally requires availability outside of regular business hours for planned operations.
Your Profile
With a university degree in computer science or equivalent, you have proven experience (5–10 years) in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or technological context and within a rapidly growing organization.
You are bilingual in French and English to write documentation and collaborate with teams in both languages.

Your Technical Skills:
- Virtualization tools: Docker and Hyper‑V.
- Versioning tools: Git and SVN.
- Operating systems: Linux, Windows servers (2016 to 2022).
- Programming languages: Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting.
- Networking: IP, VLAN, routing, firewalls, VPN.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (an asset).
Conditions du poste
Full‑time position (40h/week) to be filled as soon as possible.
Compensation based on profile and experience.
Canadian permanent residency is required.
