Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care for residents. You will work with a Registered Nurse, supervise Personal Support Workers, and ensure care plans meet residents' needs. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and a strong commitment to quality care.

You will participate in shift reports, help revise procedures, and contribute to a supportive, respectful team culture across multiple care communities.

Qualifications

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing experience.
• Knowledge of LTC Act and related standards.
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under supervision of RN.
• Direct Personal Support Workers on the unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team; notify physician of changes.
• Participate in shift reports and communicate resident status changes.
• Assist in updating procedures and implementing policies.
