Job summary

AgeCare is seeking an RN to provide professional nursing care for residents, supervise Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers, and coordinate nursing services within the residence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, registration in good standing, and knowledge of applicable Canadian acts and provincial regulations to ensure high standards of care and compliance.

Qualifications

• RN with a background in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing.
• Knowledge of provincial nursing standards and related acts.
• Registration in good standing with provincial registry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and services for residents within the neighbourhood and residence.
• Lead shift report with health care team to inform of status changes.
• Record significant changes in residents’ condition and ensure chart documentation meets policies.
• Review and process physician orders and communicate difficulties to the Director of Care.
