Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to deliver professional nursing care for residents in our long-term care setting in Canada.

The role includes collaborating with physicians and a broader health care team to maintain high-quality care, and guiding Personal Support Workers on daily patient needs. The ideal candidate holds a Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and is in good standing, with knowledge of applicable provincial acts and regulations

Qualifications

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing knowledge.
• Knowledge of relevant acts and regulations (Ontario/Canada) affecting nursing homes.
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents.
• Liaise with physicians and health care team; notify physician of changes when RN unavailable.
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Participate in shift reports to inform team of resident status changes.
