Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to deliver professional nursing care to residents in Burlington, Canada.

You will work with the Registered Nurse to support Personal Support Workers, coordinate with physicians, and ensure resident care needs are met. You will bring geriatric or long-term care nursing experience, knowledge of applicable regulations, and a Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Qualifications

• Geriatric or long-term care nursing background including activation and personnel administration.
• Knowledge of relevant Ontario health acts and safety regulations.
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under RPN direction.
• Liaise with physicians and health-care team members including external partners.
• Direct Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Notify physician of significant changes in resident status when RN is unavailable.
• Participate in shift reports to inform the team of changes in resident status.
