Job summary

Qualifications

• Postsecondary PSW certificate or equivalent experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Two years or more experience, preferably in a geriatric setting.
• Excellent communication skills and empathy for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive report at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Provide care with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing for residents as per plans.
• Assist with meals and meal trays as required.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the charge nurse or DOC.
• Respond promptly to call bells and residents' needs.
• Maintain infection control protocols and cleanliness.
• Record daily checklists for each resident.
• Notify supervisor in emergencies and assist as delegated.
