AgeCare is hiring a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate resident care in a supportive setting. The role involves following established care plans, observing residents, and reporting needs to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.
• Must understand the basics of sanitation and cleaning techniques and be knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to residents according to the care plan by observing and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assists in documentation of information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding of new staff as directed.
• Follows IPAC policies and procedures.
