Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Ottawa is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate daily living assistance, including personal hygiene, mobility support, and companionship to residents in our retirement residences. You will document care activities in the electronic health record, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold safety, dignity, and high-quality service.

A PSW certification or international nursing background is required, along with Basic Life Support and

Qualifications

PSW certification from a certified educational facility or an internationally educated nurse qualification
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
Vulnerable Sector Check within six months or willingness to obtain one
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including ambulatory support and personal hygiene
Provide companionship and nutritional support
Document care tasks in the electronic health record
