Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer for our Sault Ste. Marie location. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises and handling non-ferrous metals.

You will receive, sort and organize materials, weigh trucks when required using the RECY system, operate a forklift, and maintain a safety-oriented mindset while delivering excellent service on site.

Qualifications

• Good Computer Skills
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work as a team

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of non ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork lift as required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset

• Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD25.75/hr, plus overtime after 44 hours
