Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Sault Ste. Marie is hiring a General Labourer for the site. Under the Site Manager, you will help with the maintenance of the premises, sorting ferrous metals, and weighing trucks using the RECY system, while delivering on-site customer service and safe operations.

We offer full-time permanent employment, vacation, benefits, and an RRSP matching program, plus tuition scholarships for dependents and supportive career development. Overtime applies after 44 hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals.
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material.
• Do general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure the equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site.
• Operate the forklift as required.
• Work with a safety oriented mindset.

• Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD25.75/hr, plus overtime after 44 hours

We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer with experience for our Sault Ste. Marie location.Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises.

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork liftas required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset
