Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is hiring a General Labourer for our Sault Ste. Marie location. Under supervision of the Site Manager, you will perform general maintenance, sort non-ferrous metals, assist with weighing materials, and support on-site operations.

• Perform general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure equipment is in good condition.

• Operate the forklift as required.
• Maintain a safety oriented work approach.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer with experience for our Sault Ste. Marie location. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises.

• Receive, sort and organize different types of non ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork lift as required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset

Qualifications

• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset
