Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer for our Windsor North location. Under the Site Manager, you will handle general maintenance of the premises and support metal recycling operations, receiving and sorting ferrous metals and helping weigh trucks when needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and excellent on-site service. You will operate a forklift as required, assist with on-site customer service, and help maintain equipment in good condition in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Good computer skills.
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness.
• Ability to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals.
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material.
• Do general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure the equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site.
• Operate the forklift as required.
• Work with a safety oriented mindset.

• Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD25.75/hr, plus overtime after 44 hours
