American Iron & Metal (AIM) is hiring a General Labourer for our Sudbury North location. You will operate heavy machinery, assist with site maintenance and support safe, efficient operations on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, metal recycling, or similar industrial environments.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as mobile cranes, forklifts, loaders, or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain equipment safely.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn site systems and procedures.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn new processes, equipment and responsibilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour as required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals.
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material.
• Do general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure the equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site.
