Job summary

American Iron and Metal (AIM) is seeking a Ferrous Receiving Attendant for our Drummondville team. The role focuses on receiving, sorting, and handling non-ferrous metals, mostly indoors with occasional outdoor tasks based on operations.

The job involves manual labour, material handling, and metal sorting in a dynamic industrial environment. The candidate should be reliable, active, and comfortable with physical work.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment, recycling, or a related field is an asset.
• Experience operating a forklift or other equipment is an asset.
• Knowledge of different types of metals is an asset.
• Able to perform manual labour and work indoors and occasionally outdoors.
• In good physical condition and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
• Responsible, punctual, resourceful, and safety-conscious.
• Strong teamwork skills and collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and apply established procedures.
• Unload, sort, inspect, and handle materials.
• Identify and classify non-ferrous metals.
• Weigh and organize materials.
