American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Sudbury North is hiring a General Labourer with experience operating heavy machinery. The role involves receiving and sorting ferrous metals, weighing trucks using the RECY system, and maintaining the site under the Site Manager.

A safety-focused, team-oriented approach is essential. The position is full-time permanent with vacation, benefits, RRSP matching, and a tuition scholarship program up to $8,500 per eligible dependents.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, metal recycling, or similar industrial environments is an asset.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as mobile cranes, forklifts, loaders, or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate and maintain equipment.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn site systems and procedures.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new processes, equipment and responsibilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour as required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
