Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Windsor North is seeking a General Labourer (Non Ferrous) to support the site under the supervision of the Site Manager. Responsibilities include receiving, sorting, and weighing metals, operating the RECY system for truck weigh-ins, general premises maintenance, and on-site customer service.

The role is full-time with hourly pay starting at CAD25.75/hr plus overtime after 44 hours, plus a tuition scholarship program up to $8,500 per eligible dependents, vacation,

Qualifications

• Good Computer Skills.
• Experience in operating a crane.
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness.
• Ability to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals.
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material.
• Do general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure the equipment in good condition; provide excellent customer service to clients on site.
• Operate the Fork lift as required.
• Work with a safety oriented mindset.
