Job summary

American Iron and Metal (AIM) is a global leader in metals recycling, with a strong Drummondville presence. We are seeking a Ferrous Receiving Attendant to join our team. The role focuses on receiving, sorting, and handling non-ferrous metals, primarily indoors with occasional outdoor tasks.

You will greet customers, unload and classify materials, weigh shipments, and help maintain a clean, safe site in a fast-paced industrial environment. Teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment, recycling, or related field is an asset.
• Able to perform manual labour and work indoors and occasionally outdoors.
• Safe and reliable with good physical conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and apply established procedures.
• Unload, sort, inspect, and handle materials.
• Identify and classify non-ferrous metals.
• Weigh and organize materials.
• Prepare incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the site.

Job Description

We are looking for aFerrous Receiving Attendantto join our Drummondville team.

The successful candidate will primarily be involved in the receiving, sorting, and handling of non-ferrous metals. The work is mainly performed indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks depending on operational needs.

This position is focused on manual labour, material handling, and metal sorting in a dynamic industrial environment. We are looking for a reliable, active individual who is comfortable with physical work.

Qualifications

• You have experience operating a forklift or other equipment (asset);
• You have knowledge of different types of metals (asset);
• You are able to perform manual labour and work indoors and occasionally outdoors;
• You are in good physical condition and comfortable with repetitive tasks;
• You are responsible, punctual, resourceful, and safety-conscious;
• You have strong teamwork skills and can collaborate effectively with others.
