Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Labourer for our Sault Ste. Marie location. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, you will assist in maintaining the premises and supporting metal recycling operations.

Key duties include receiving, sorting, weighing trucks, operating the RECY system, and general site upkeep. The role requires good computer skills, ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather, and a team-focused attitude. CAD 25.75/hr starting pay plus overtime.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork lift as required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset

• Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD25.75/hr, plus overtime after 44 hours
