Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Windsor North is seeking a General Labourer (Non Ferrous) to join our team. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, you'll handle receiving, sorting, weighing, and basic maintenance, contributing to a safe, efficient yard operation.

This full-time permanent role offers CAD 25.75 hourly, overtime after 44 hours, vacation, benefits, and an RRSP matching program, plus tuition scholarship opportunities and a supportive environment for career development.

Qualifications

• General Labourer role at Windsor North site.
• Under Site Manager supervision, responsible for maintenance of premises.
• Possesses ability to receive, sort, and weigh metals using proper systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals.
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks using the RECY system.
• Do general maintenance of the premises.
• Ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site.
• Operate the forklift as required.
• Work with a safety-oriented mindset.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer (Non Ferrous) with experience for our Windsor North location.Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises.

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork liftas required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset

Qualifications

• Good Computer Skills
• Experience in operating a crane
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work as a team
