A leading environmental company in Coverdale Parish is hiring a General Laborer to assist with the upkeep of plant grounds and buildings. Responsibilities include operating landscape equipment, conducting inspections, and maintaining a clean environment. The role requires a class 5 driver's license and experience with basic maintenance tasks. Reporting to the Project Manager, the General Laborer performs a variety of work related to the repair and general upkeep of plant grounds and building(s).
This is a temporary, full‑time position, until September 2026. The incumbent must be available during periods of high production and must be able to work under pressure, occasionally.
May be exposed to possible operations hazards including caustic and acidic chemicals, heavy machinery, hot or cold work environment temperatures, slippery surfaces, water hazards and electrical equipment.
Amount of time spent - Standing 55%, Walking 15%, Sitting 30%.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Required to use ladders or stairs.
The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally 60 pounds).
