Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Must meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Must meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Must meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to residents in accordance with the plan of care by observing residents and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to resident care as directed.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Must follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
