Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate care to residents according to individualized care plans. You will help maintain a safe, dignified environment and support residents, families, and colleagues across a team of caregivers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures for bedside care and sanitation in geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring care to ensure alignment with the care plan by observing residents and reporting findings to the supervisor.
• Assist in documenting resident care information as directed.
• Attend in-service sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures to prevent infections.
