AgeCare seeks a Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate resident care in Burlington, Ontario, following established care plans and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff.

You will document care activities, participate in ongoing education sessions, assist in onboarding new staff, and adhere to Infection Prevention and Control policies to ensure high-quality, respectful care for geriatric residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents; familiarity with sanitation and geriatric needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring care to ensure alignment with the care plan by observing residents and reporting findings.
• Assist in documenting resident information as directed.
• Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.
