Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead frontline safety across all mill operations in Canada. You will coach employees, conduct observations, verify safe practices, and drive a proactive safety culture on the floor.

The role emphasizes incident investigations, LOTO, contractor oversight, and updating procedures as processes change. You will mentor staff and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of safety management or supervisory experience in manufacturing/industrial/construction settings.
• Proficient with safety software, reporting tools and Microsoft applications.
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily peer-to-peer coaching emphasizing hazard recognition and safe decisions.
• Maintain high visibility on the floor and model correct behaviours.
• Lead by example with field presence and reinforcement of safety values.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety discussions based on risks or incidents.
• Perform routine safety observations and document findings, drive corrective actions.
