Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is seeking a Foreman - Shop at our Kamloops location to organize daily work, supervise technicians, and ensure quality repairs for the Construction & Forestry Service Department.

You will advise on technician skills and training needs, maintaining strong customer service and cost control. The role requires heavy equipment experience, a Journeyman certification, and the ability to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
• Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade.
• Experience in a service department setting.
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Candidates must be willing to be available after-hours.
• Ability to lead others.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Organize the work performed and ensure quality control.
• Supervise Service Technicians.

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Foreman - Shop reporting to our Kamloops Construction & Forestry location. The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, providing quality repair work for the Construction & Forestry Service Department, advising and making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Responsible for the organization of the work performed as well as quality control
• Supervise the work of Service Technicians
• Maintain an organized clean work environment
• Advise and mentor Technicians
• Commitment to customer service, service excellence and ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team and other branch personnel
• Establish & maintain an on call field schedule
• Converse with the customers & operators on the phone, email or in person
• Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
• Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
