Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.
  • Willingness to be available after-hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience in heavy equipment maintenance is an asset.
  • Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment trade or equivalent is required.
  • Familiarity with John Deere products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the work performed and ensure quality control.
  • Supervise service technicians.
  • Maintain an organized, clean work environment and mentor technicians.
  • Commit to customer service and service excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Establish and maintain an on-call field schedule.
  • Interact with customers and operators via phone, email, or in person.
  • Help manage department costs and profitability.
  • Open/close work orders and prepare warranty paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Foreman reporting to our Regina Construction and Forestry location. The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, providing quality repair work for the Campbell River service Department, advising and making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Responsible for the organization of the work performed and quality control
  • Supervise the work of service technicians
  • Maintain an organized, clean work environment Advise and mentor technicians
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel
  • Establish & maintain an on-call field schedule
  • Converse with the customers and operators on the phone, email, or in person
  • Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
  • Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
  • Other duties as required
What We Look For

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset
  • Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade required
  • Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred
