Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a Foreman - Field to lead the Calgary Construction and Forestry service location. You will organize work, dispatch technicians, and provide quality repairs while advising the Service Manager on technician training needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman in Heavy Duty Equipment trade or equivalent designation is required.
• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is essential.
• Experience in a service department setting is preferred.
• Must be available after-hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Organize the work performed and ensure quality control.
• Supervise service technicians and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Mentor technicians and support customer service excellence.
• Communicate with customers, service team, and branch personnel.
• Manage field on-call schedule and open/close work orders.

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Foreman - Field reporting to our Calgary Construction and Forestry location. The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, providing quality repair work for the Campbell River service Department, advising and making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Responsible for the organization of the work performed and quality control
• Supervise the work of service technicians
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment
• Advise and mentor technicians
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel
• Establish & maintain an on-call field schedule
• Converse with the customers and operators on the phone, email, or in person
• Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
• Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
• Other duties as required

What We Look For

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset
• Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade required
• Experience in a service department setting required
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred
• Forklift license preferred
