Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd in Fort McMurray is seeking a Foreman - Service to oversee daily organization and dispatch of technicians, delivering quality repair work for the Fort McMurray Service Department. You will advise and mentor technicians, establish an on-call field schedule, and communicate with customers, the service team, and branch personnel to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Certified Journeyman in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products is preferred.
• Microsoft Office skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Organize the work performed and ensure quality control.
• Supervise the service technicians and maintain an organized, clean work environment.
• Advise and mentor technicians and communicate with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
• Establish and maintain an on-call field schedule.
• Open and close work orders and prepare warranty work orders.
• Manage costs and profitability of the department.

Description

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Foreman - Service reporting to our Fort McMurray location. The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for the daily organization and dispatch of technicians, providing quality repair work for the Fort McMurray Service Department, advising and making recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Responsible for the organization of the work performed and quality control
• Supervise the work of service technicians
• Maintain an organized, clean work environment
• Advise and mentor technicians
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and other branch personnel
• Establish & maintain an on-call field schedule
• Converse with the customers and operators on the phone, email, or in person Manage costs and ensure profitability of the department
• Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
• Other duties as required
