Job summary

Tim Hortons in Hope, BC is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead a team of 5–10 staff in a fast-paced restaurant. The role is full-time with a wage of $20.45 per hour and 40 hours per week.

You will establish work schedules, supervise food preparation, train staff on sanitation and safety, manage inventory, and address customer concerns while upholding quality standards. Previous food service experience and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in food service.
• Criminal record check required.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Client focus, flexibility, initiative, and dependability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Hire food service staff.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
• Prepare budget and cost estimates.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Prepare and submit reports.
• Supervise and check assembly of trays.
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
• Establish work schedules.
