Job summary

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board is seeking Part Time Custodians to support day-to-day cleaning across schools in Windsor and Essex County. This on-call role involves travel to multiple sites with shifts that can vary between day and afternoon.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, washrooms, halls and cafeterias; light maintenance tasks and seasonal snow removal. Applicants should be reliable, with basic computer skills and a history of good communication.

Qualifications

• Must be available on-call Monday to Friday for day-to-day casual assignments.
• Part-time position with a maximum of 32 hours per week.
• Must travel to any school within Windsor and Essex County.
• Shifts may vary from day to afternoon.
• Preference given to candidates with secondary education, relevant experience, basic computer knowledge, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, washrooms, hallways, stairwells, gymnasiums and cafeterias in elementary and secondary schools.
• Empty garbage, mop floors, wipe desks and surfaces, wash toilets and showers, stock supplies.
• In winter months shovel snow at school entrances and walkways; in summer move furniture for thorough cleaning.
• Support a flexible on-call schedule and travel within the board's geographic area.
