Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, washrooms, halls and cafeterias; light maintenance tasks and seasonal snow removal. Applicants should be reliable, with basic computer skills and a history of good communication.

Qualifications

• Must be available on-call Monday to Friday for day-to-day casual assignments.
• Part-time position with a maximum of 32 hours per week.
• Must travel to any school within Windsor and Essex County.
• Shifts may vary from day to afternoon.
• Preference given to candidates with secondary education, relevant experience, basic computer knowledge, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, washrooms, hallways, stairwells, gymnasiums and cafeterias in elementary and secondary schools.
• Empty garbage, mop floors, wipe desks and surfaces, wash toilets and showers, stock supplies.
• In winter months shovel snow at school entrances and walkways; in summer move furniture for thorough cleaning.
• Support a flexible on-call schedule and travel within the board's geographic area.

Part Time Custodians

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board maintains a pool of Part Time Custodians.

Applicants must be available to work on an on-call basis Monday to Friday for day-to-day casual assignments. Part Time Custodians employed by the Board work a maximum of 32 hours per week or less and are required to travel to any school within the Board's geographic area (Windsor and Essex County). Shifts may vary from day to afternoon.

This position will perform all necessary cleaning duties in schools to include cleaning classrooms, washrooms/change rooms, hallways, stair wells, gymnasiums, and cafeterias throughout elementary and secondary schools. Tasks will include: emptying garbage, dry and wet mop floors, wipe surfaces (desks, tables, blackboards), wash toilets/showers, stock paper towels, toilet paper. In winter months work will include shoveling snow at school entrance / walk ways. During summer months work will include moving all furniture from rooms to perform thorough cleaning of walls, furniture, floors and lights.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

• Secondary school graduate or equivalent


• Recent, related work experience


• Basic computer knowledge


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Hold a valid Class \"G\" Licence and provide a satisfactory driver's abstract record
