Job summary

Spotter Security is seeking an Experienced Security Service Technician for hands-on field work across the Greater Toronto Area. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing IP video, access control, and alarm systems, with regular travel and on-site service.

You will inspect, test, and diagnose faults, read blueprints, and complete detailed service reports. Strong problem-solving, independence, and customer-focused communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years installing/servicing cabling, cameras, alarms, and access control.
• Experience with major manufacturers: Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec, Axis.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electronic security equipment (IP video, access control, alarm systems, integrations).
• Inspect and test equipment and assemblies to diagnose faults.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings and interpret them.
• Complete scheduled maintenance visits with thorough documentation.
• Submit accurate Work Orders and Post-Service Reports, with images and details.
• Interact professionally with customers and report to Service/Tech Manager.
