Job summary

Kozak Ukrainian Eatery in East Vancouver is hiring a full-time Production Cook for our commissary kitchen. This high-volume role focuses on ingredient preparation and cooking Ukrainian dishes in large batches according to recipes. Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required; we value speed, organization, and the ability to follow instructions.

Training on recipes, procedures and equipment will be provided on the job. Shifts include mornings at 5:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Training on recipes, procedures and equipment provided on the job

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and production plans
• Complete tasks quickly while maintaining quality and portion consistency
• Measure, weigh, mix, chop, peel, slice and portion ingredients
• Prepare meats, vegetables, fillings, sauces and other products in batches
• Set up and organize workstations
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment after training
• Follow recipe quantities, cooking times and preparation instructions
• Label, date, cool, rotate and store food correctly
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
• Report shortages, delays, mistakes and equipment problems
• Assist with other kitchen and production duties as needed
