Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) invites applications for a Facility Assistant in the Grain & Crop Inputs division. The role covers movement and sampling of grain, and execution of daily operations at the grain facility.

Ideal candidates have general labour experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work in all weather conditions. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming.
• Experience working in a customer service role is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs).
• Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Collect, test, and sample grain.
• Handle and deliver crop input products.
• Perform regular facility maintenance and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

As a Facility Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operations of the grain facility.

Day to Day

• Collecting and testing grain samples
• Handling and delivering crop input products
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
